ancient fashion.

It's really cool how designers are being really creative. Talk about vintage? It's the 21st century and they've taken fashion to the next level. Now they're making new collections inspired by Egypt, the 17th Century England, etc.

strange but awesome?

When I watch TV, I usually watch stuff like, Fashion TV or E!. And I haven't seen anything strange. Fashion is described to be styles of clothing worn by most of people by a country. And different people like different kinds of fashion. For example, I like vintage. I like vintage fashion. I think that wearing vintage is very unique, and it can be very comfortable. Of course you wouldn't want to wear anything too vintage like a dress from the 1880s. That's a bit too vintage. I like vintage that like, suits the modern world, but also has a vintage style to it.
And I think people have other perspectives about vintage. They might think it's too old fashion?
So imagine watching a vintage fashion runway. Verrryyy vintage. Some people absolutaly love it, some really don't like it. Now, this is me in my perspective, and I find these clothes very... strange. But also lovely. But they wouldn't be something you'd wear to the mall, or when your going to the groceries, or when your walking at a park.

SO.. here they are :

Enjoy!

vintage

I don't see vintage as a new style. I just prefer wearing vintage in the fall. Where I live there's hardly any change of seasons. It's mostly summer. I live on a very tropical island. Very hot and hardly cold. An island called Bali. Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east.
There's many shops and stuff on the side of seminyak road. But usually there's traffic and when I go there to shop, there's hardly any parking spaces to park the car. Tourists are usually the ones shopping. Because like their hotels are really close by so all they do is like walk a few blocks.
I'm a huge fan of vintage clothes and such. I mean, I'll accept anything vintage for Christmas or my birthday.
It's so cool how it's 2010 and people wear outfits and clothes from the 1950s. I mean, I hope in 2020 people will still be wearing vintage. If it's not out of style.

 The Grace Kelly
I found out that Grace Kelly was an actress. She was an American actress. I saw photos of her on google and she was very pretty. She died at the age of 52, 14 September 1982. I found this at http://fashionart.onsugar.com/tag/vintag .
This is from the Cabaret Collection, link http://www.cabaretvintage.com/
I don't really know why this photo was called "The Grace Kelly". Maybe because of the style???
Anyway, it's very simple and perfect for a bride who wants to dress vintage
Perfect because it's strapless. Completely white head to toe except for the golden necklace that is being worn. An updo hair would suit the most with this dress. I can imagine having the hair down. It depends. If your hair is very short, then it might suit the dress. A bronze bowed coloured heel gives the dress a kind of glow. It's probably another thing that stands out when you see the photo. I recommend using a bronze coloured heel instead of white. White makes the outfit very pale whilst bronze or gold really shows a beauty with the dress.

A necklace like this would probably nice to match the outifit. But if if you don't want anything heavy or to bazar then the one in the photo is preferable.

These dresses don't seem very vintage but you can't create a sort of vintage look with these dresses.

With the black dress, just put on round shades. The ones with the round lenses. Black ones would be the best to put on because it matches the colour of the dress, but if you want the glasses to look very bold, the glasses on the left would be good too.

I went to google and also found some really good matching bags that would suit the glasses and the dress. But I'm only going to put up one of them.
This bag is very cute and its not to bazar. You can take it to a park or while your shopping and no ones going to be like "What the heck??". It's perfect! Black is probably the best but if you think there are other colours that would do well then feel free to comment and tell me.

Let's get a bit more exciting now. I went to Vogue.com an awesome collection. These are from the Oscar De La Renta Pre-Fall 2011 Collection. I find some of them very vintage whilst some other are just something I'd keep in my wardrobe.

1. I really like this one. When I see this umm.. outifit (?) it makes me think of business wear. The large ppink bow really stands out amongst the black and white speck material. I think below the jacket, is like a black shirt or probably a blouse. A blouse would probably be the best underneath the jacket.

2. This caught my eye from the minute I saw it. It's gorgeous and it pretty much shows my personality. I mean, I'm usually not the kind of girl who would wear a pretty strapless dress to a winter formal or prom. For prom, I'd probably wear this with a pair of '60s patent shoes and the round shades I showed earlier. But black ones. For winter I'd probably wear the dress with a furry black jacket like the one you see below.

3. A red cocktail dress : I've always wanted a dress like that. I've been searching but I never find it. It's so pretty and I must say, this has to go into my wardrobe. It just has to. And the belt? Gor-geous.

4. Okay. This is like my style. It's not vintage. I just wanted to post it up. I mean, this outfit with boots? or even ankle boots? WOWWWW!!

Ok. This is all I have to show. I hope you like this blog entry/post.

I do not own any of these photos. Any of these photos that have been photographed by me will have my name written onto it.
I do not use these photos for commercial reasons.

THANK YOU!

Chanel Iman

Chanel Iman is like one of my favourite models. She's awesome. I don't know why she's my most favourite. It's probably because when I saw her on TV. And she's like verrrryyy pretty. I don't know much about her. All I know is that she's best known for her work for Victoria's Secret.
Here's like a few pictures of her:

Proenza Schouler

"I loved how designers Jack and Lazaro brought back the '80s, but with a modern twist."

photo: Marcio Madiera/Style.com

Marc Jacobs
"To walk for Marc Jacobs was a huge honor. His show was such a massive production that I was a little nervous. Marc is one of my favorite designers."

There's a few models I know.
Tyra Banks
Chanel Iman
Kate Moss
I know right? I suck. I mean, I don't even know lots of designers.
I probably only know:
Alexander Mcqueen
Roberto Cavalli
Yep........ So I'm going to do everything it takes to become either a model, or a designer. I probably go for modelling but at the same time I would want to open my own line. Anyway.

an ordinary girl.

hey.
i'm sure there are loads of fashion bloggers and all. I am very new to starting my own fashion blog. I was raised to play music. Mostly piano, then violin and a teensy bit of guitar. I've been learning and playing piano and violin for about 6 years now. I'm not that good actually. yeah. i know. 6 years of tough practise and I never seem to get it right.
Anyway, I'm also very psyched about fashion. I look at fashion shows and see awesome things that made me thing "darn i wish I designed that!" or "why didn't I think of that??'". Yeah.
I've also liked modelling. I've never walked a runway. I've never been to a fashion show. I only see them on TV. And I just wish I was in those shows. I've watched America's next Top Model and see how the competitiors get to do all the modelling. *sigh
I'm a total wannabe. When I was little, (like 6), I had no idea what a wanted to be. I remember I said I wanted to do gymnastcs, turns out I didn't. I wanted to do karate, turns out I didn't, I wanted to be an actress, and I always gave up.
But now this passion for fashion has built up on me. Im starting to open my mums computer and research things. Anything to do with fashion. I now keep a diary and write things like "Model of the day" or "Designer of the Day". I've just got a passion for fashion.

Today though, I opened google and typed in "Alexander Mcqueen". Someone told me that Lady Gaga wore many of his designs. I saw one in her song "Bad Romance".
I saw that Alexander Mcqueen made really cool designs. I mean there's this particular shoe design that made me wanna die unless I try it on.
 Look at that!! awesome eh?

I don't know if Alexander Mcqueen designed the outfit but obviously know that he designed the shoe.

Okay. that's all for today.
